Vijayawada: FAPCCI (Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh Government has pitched to Vietnamese companies to set up manufacturing units in AP either directly or through joint ventures.

"A progressive business environment is prevailing in AP by the pro-active government, coupled with ease of doing business" stated a team from FAPCCI to its Vietnamese counterparts. The FAPCCI delegation is currently on a goodwill visit to Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam to explore the trade and business opportunities in AP.

Speaking on the occasion, S Karunendra Jasti, president, FAPCCI said, "India is one of the top eighth trading partners of Vietnam while Vietnam is 15th largest trading partner of India and fourth largest in Southeast Asia. AP reported 11.43 per cent growth rate which is higher than the country's GDP's growth rate during the last fiscal.

The State has improved its exports performance from Rank-seven in 2019-20 to Rank-four in 2020-21 with an increase in exports to USD 16.8 billion in the FY 2020-21, a growth of 13.8 per cent compared to the previous year."
